Same weather; completely different experience

I'm

Jonni

I'm a transpersonal psychologist with 35 years of experience interpreting what's actually happening under the surface. The patterns, timing, dreams, relationships, and  stuff that doesn't make sense until it suddenly does.
I write here the way I work: deep, direct, and more interested in what's true than what sounds comforting.

Last week, the rain went on for days.

The deck project was on hold. Tarps over lumber, tools stacked under a tent, while Blake kept giving the sky that look like it owes him something. Meanwhile, the ducks had the time of their lives. Tilly, Wensley, and Blue don’t care about construction timelines. They’re out there at dawn, beaks in puddles, thrilled.

I keep watching them and thinking, same weather, but completely different experience.

That sums up the energy this week.

And now it gets real

The dreaming part is over. The reflecting, circling, “I’m still figuring it out” chapter closed with the equinox. Now we’re in the part where you actually have to build something. And this kind of building doesn’t ask if you’re ready. It asks if you’re willing.

This week, you might feel a kind of pressure that’s more settling than frantic. More sobering. The energy is saying, okay, what are you actually committing to here? Because this is the time the foundations get poured. And whatever you’re building, whether it’s a project or a relationship or even a new version of yourself, the choices you make right now will hold weight for a long time.

Some of us will be like the ducks. And by that I mean, delighted by the conditions, finally in our element, and doing what we were made for.

And some of us will be standing under the tarp, waiting for the rain to stop so we can get back to the plan.

Both are valid, but only one is actually moving.

So, here’s what to expect

It might feel heavy at first, like there’s a tension between wanting to move forward and needing to honour what you feel. Old stuff like family patterns, emotional habits, or the way you’ve always done things might come up.

Let it.

It’s part of the process. You can’t build something new and pretend the old stuff isn’t there. So if and when something comes up, don’t push it away. Instead, look at it. Then decide what comes with you and what stays behind. Because something is softening. Think of it as a sense of, okay, I can do this

Even hope returns, the kind of hope that comes after you’ve looked at the hard stuff and started moving forward anyway.

There’s a belief that won’t survive this week

“I’ll figure it out later.”

What if I told you that later just became now.

Yup. This isn’t so much having a perfect plan as being honest with yourself about what you’re building, and whether you’re actually willing to do the work it’s gonna need.

The thing about foundations I’ve always noticed is that they’re not glamorous. No one Instagrams the concrete. But everything that comes after depends on what you pour this week.

This is why this matters

There’s a rare kind of energy available right now. (Each week, I’ve been prepping you for it). It’s the kind that rewards doing the hard thing, and says, ‘if you commit, show up, and build with intention, it will last’.

Now, not everything does. But what you start now definitely has a leg up.

So be serious. Be kind to yourself while you’re being serious. And know that the pressure you’re feeling is the weight of something real taking shape.

Maybe you’re the duck, thriving in conditions that others find miserable. Or maybe you’re under the tarp, frustrated, and waiting.

Either way, the foundation is going in, whether you see it or not.

Now it gets real.

P.S. The ducks don’t need my help. But if you’re the one under the tarp, staring at the lumber, wondering what you’re even building anymore, let’s talk. One or more sessions can clarify more than you’d think. And UNLIMITED means I’m responding when the confusing stuff happens, when your dream makes no sense, and when you’re standing at a crossroads and need someone who won’t think you’re crazy.
