It’s Saturday night, technically the first weekend of summer, and I’m sitting here watching the rain streak down my windows. Classic westcoast summer arrival.
But the thing I’ve been noticing is the weather outside doesn’t always match what’s happening inside. The energy, the undercurrents, the way certain weeks feel heavy when nothing actually went wrong, or how you suddenly feel compelled to reorganize your entire closet for no apparent reason.
You know what I’m talking about? Those moments when you’re feeling something, but you can’t quite put your finger on what. When Tuesday feels different than usual, but you can’t explain why. When everyone around you seems slightly off-kilter, and you start wondering if it’s you or if there’s something in the water.
What I’ve learned after decades of working with thousands of people is you’re probably not overreacting or out of sync. And you’re absolutely not the only one feeling this right now.
Why your soul knows before your mind does
I’ve been getting questions from clients for months asking variations of the same question: “What’s happening right now? Why does everything feel so intense/weird/different/heavy?”
And I realized something. You’re all picking up on the same frequencies and feeling the same shifts. You’re responding to the same invisible currents that move through our collective field like weather systems move through the atmosphere.
But your nervous system is more sophisticated than any meteorologist’s equipment. And it’s constantly reading the energetic climate around you. All of it. The seasonal rhythms, the collective emotional weather, and the cultural undercurrents that shape how you feel, choose, grieve, and grow.
The problem is, we’ve been taught to dismiss these impressions as imagination or anxiety. To pathologize our sensitivity instead of recognizing it as intelligence.
But what if those Tuesday morning heavy feelings aren’t random? What if your sudden urge to clean out old files is actually your soul responding to an energy shift that’s asking for clearing? What if that conversation that “hit different” was because something in the field made everyone a little more tender that day?
Introducing The Deep Brief
So here’s what I’m doing about it. Starting Monday, June 30th, I’m launching something new and calling it The Deep Brief.
Think of it as your weekly intel for when you feel it before you can name it. (Maybe that’s a tagline…🤔)
Every Monday morning (early – before your week hijacks your attention), if you’re signed up for my newsletter, you’ll get a straight-forward, no-fluff download about what’s actually moving under the surface of your week. Real-time context for the energetic weather you’re already feeling.
I’m not talking about horoscopes or generic motivation. It’s more soul-smart analysis of what’s shifting in the collective field and how it might be showing up in your personal experience.
I hear you asking:” Hey Jonni, why is it called The Deep Brief. What are Briefs?” No, I’m not talking about legal documents or underwear, though both can be equally constricting.
In my world, Briefs are small-but-potent intel transmissions that are clear, timely, and meaningful. They don’t waste your time. They shift your inner lens so you see more than you did before.
It’s like if a therapist, a channel, and a very emotionally intelligent friend had a baby… and that baby sent you a weekly note with the insider scoop on why you’re feeling what you’re feeling. (That’s a better tagline, but it’s too long…)
How I read the field
So, how do I actually do this? Fair question.
I work with the confluence of seasonal rhythms, collective energetic shifts, and cultural undercurrents to translate what’s moving in the field. Think of it as reading the intersection between outer patterns – solar activity, seasonal transitions, social tensions – and inner responses.
I’m tracking how external events mirror our internal landscapes. Like how a full moon might amplify whatever you’re already processing. Or how a cultural conversation might stir up old wounds. Or how seasonal transitions invite certain kinds of releasing or growing.
It’s pattern recognition meets intuitive download, grounded in what’s actually happening in the world. It’s years of observing cyclical patterns in how we feel, process, and transform, combined with my particular ability to sense what’s moving through the collective unconscious.
Basically, I’m that friend who can walk into a room and immediately know that something’s up, even if everyone’s pretending everything’s fine. Except instead of just sensing your family dinner dynamics, I’m reading the energetic dynamics of our shared human experience.
What you can expect
Each Monday Brief, by email, will give you:
- Real-time soul intel on what’s coming up that week
- Context for what might be tugging at you (so you don’t think you’re losing it)
- How to process or hold whatever’s moving through the field
- Where to lean in and where to protect your energy
- Sometimes, a one-sentence mantra to carry you through
- Occasionally, a micro-practice for staying aligned when everything feels wonky
Think: orientation, permission, clarity. A compass for moving through the undercurrents. Momentum when you need it, pause when you don’t.
It’s your moment to get centred before the week pulls you in seventeen different directions you didn’t plan for.
For the ones who feel everything
I’ve been writing newsletters consistently since 1997. (Before that, I wrote monthly columns.) The Deep Brief is the next level. And if you’ve been with me a while, you know there’s always a next level.
So this is especially for you if you’re someone who feels things before they happen. If you can sense when your family is stressed before anyone says anything. If you walk into spaces and immediately feel what the vibe is.
If you’ve ever been told you’re “too sensitive” or “overthinking things,” this is for you. Because your sensitivity is a feature, not a bug. And you’re probably more tuned in than most people.
I designed The Deep Brief to help you understand what you’re picking up on, so you can respond consciously instead of just feeling overwhelmed by energies you can’t identify.
Why Mondays, and why early
Because Monday sets the tone for everything that follows. It’s when you’re most open to shifting your perspective, most willing to try a different approach, most in need of context for what’s about to happen.
And early, because I want you to have this intel before your week gets complicated. Before the meetings and deadlines and family drama and life logistics take over. While you still have space to set intentions, make adjustments, and prepare your nervous system for whatever’s coming.
Think of it as your weekly weather report for the soul. You check the forecast before you decide what to wear, right? This is the same thing, but for your inner world.
The first Deep Brief drops a week Monday
I’m genuinely excited about this because I know how isolating it can feel when you’re sensing things that others seem oblivious to.
There’s such relief in having someone say, “Yes, this is what’s happening. No, you’re not imagining it. Here’s how to work with it instead of against it.”
So the rain might not feel very summery, but I promise you, the energy under the weather is shifting in ways that are going to matter. And starting next Monday, you’ll have context for all of it.
Get ready to finally understand what you’ve been feeling,
Jonni
P.S. If you’re someone who rarely reads newsletters but found yourself reading this whole thing, that’s probably your intuition telling you that you need this kind of intel in your life. Trust that impulse. Your Monday self will thank you. If you’re reading this on my website and not as a newsletter, sign up here. You’ll want to get The Deep Brief Monday mornings, not whenever I rewrite parts of it here.
